Nurture the Seed
Faith grows from a single seed!
The Mall de plante și ghivece den București (plant and pot mall in Bucharest). The outside of the building is completely covered with 100% natural plants. It's pretty cool. We missed the peak of the bloom, but it is still magnificent. It's awesome to see how tiny seeds can grow so completely, given the proper nourishment and light.
Have you ever wondered the reach of a single seed? Alma, an ancient prophet said it this way, "Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me". May your faith continue to grow within your heart as you nourish it with the good word and eternal light.
The sisters invited us to join them in visiting the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University Library in Iasi, voted "The Most Beautiful Library in the World". Built in the 19th century it remains original other than the roof that was damaged during the war, which has obviously been rebuilt. The word "beautiful" doesn't do it justice. It is truly a remarkable edifice.
Thinking of our friends the "Lyon's" today. Also, sporting a bag of the country's no. 1 snack. Pufuleți (pronounced pooflets). There's not much there, a little flavor and a disappearing substance. They are similar to Cheetos but according to Sora Davis
they are actually not that bad for you. Of course, it's like eating air. They're not bad even though do have the texture of a packing peanuts.

We traveled to Bucharest (6 hours) to attend District Conference this weekend. We had a wonderful time. When we arrived and met up with Sora Fowler, low and behold, matching attire. We also get to listen to the translation of the meetings thanks to the diligent missionaries who have learned the language well and bless our lives daily. We love seeing fellow Senior Couples and are appreciative of the things they teach us. We were also able to attend with our dear friend Larențiu Dan Ghenghea. He was sustained to receive the Melchezidek Priesthood. Another dear friend, Mihai Bratuleanu, from the Iasi Branch was also sustained although he couldn't make the trip. We are excited to see the branch grow.
Cabbage (varză) is still available by the trailer load. More Sarmale is on the horizon.
As we continue to serve the Lord here in the beautiful and diverse country of Romania, we are so grateful for all of the encouragement and love of family and friends from around the world. This is a marvelous work, and we are blessed to be a part of it. We recognize the hand of the Lord daily as He continues to hasten His work. Sometimes we just need to Nurture the Seed.
