Creation and the human mind

"...all things denote there is a God" Just happened to catch the sky in a very rare moment for this time of the year.  It's been pretty gloomy for the past several weeks and we've seen precipitation in the form of rain and fog almost every day. The two photos were taken only moments between and the colors as you can imagine aren't really captured.  Nevertheless, God is good and His creations are a manifestation of His love for each of us.  We took a little drive on P-Day to a couple of Monasteries just outside of Iasi.  They never disappoint.  The branch insisted that they have our Christmas lunch before transfers, in which Elder Taylor (back ginger) would be going home.  He has served in Iasi for several months and the members loved him.  Also, Sister Morrison (front right) and Elder Bennett (back center) were also transferred and are also loved and will be missed.  Sister Genoveva and sister Maria insisted that we let them prepare the meal this ...

The Covenant Path I feel like the "end zone" scripture is very fitting this week.  John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Continuing on with verse 17, which gets left behind sometimes, "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved."  As I look at this picture taken at the Rome Temple this week it reminds me of this passage, in that we must go through Him to receive the saving ordinances of the Temple.  We may be outside looking in but the inscription beneath His feet of Mathew 11:28 gives us the invitation to enter, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."  There is no greater rest than in His Holy House.
