The power of a cookie
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth
We had an opportunity to travel with surori Knighton and Mora to a family in the branch from Sacele. They have 7 of the most precious children, the baby in mom's arms is the only son and one daughter was still in the house. We just happened to have some fresh cookies in the car that made quite the impression. If we could only look into their hearts. We totally understand that smiles and hugs are huge but the desire to set down and visit still remains the barrier. God is so gracious and in the end we will hopefully all speak the same language.
Speaking of flowers, they are everywhere and are beautiful this time of year. We spend a fair bit of time in the parks meeting new friends and are met with an abundance of God's beauty.
Surori Folkman and Knighton were in town with Surori Harris and Otsuji on exchanges and they invited us to meet them for lunch. We love spending time with them and are grateful for the things we learn from them daily.
The Stoica's, Dorin and Maria, invited us for dinner. She prepared stuffed peppers, fruit and apple tart. As you can imagine they were wonderful. The meal was complete when Dorin brought out his grape juice. Words can't describe! He harvests his grapes in the winter and freezes the concentrate to be used throughout the year. The peppers were a hit and as you can see smothering them in sour cream wasn't required but definitely a bonus. We weren't counting but as I recall Maria had refilled these two plates more than a couple of times. We are so grateful for the Stoica’s preparing such a delicious meal. We loved the visiting and getting to know each other. They are an amazing couple.
We rejoice in the Sabbath Day! Our sabbath concluded with a little get-together as a branch to share in a simple meal and enjoy getting to know one another better. There were a couple of people who couldn't stay but we had a great time visiting. We love our branch, it might be small in numbers, but they have such great faith and love for our Savior Jesus Christ.
And boy do they love their Nutella! We have some Grandkids who would love this humongous container of Nutella in their cupboard.
It looks like we love to eat. Our greatest meal, however, is feasting on the word of Christ. We hope you will find yourself having a wonderful time feasting on HIS word.
