Adventures of Romania

  District P-Day found us meeting together for a quick photo.  It was a blast as we dressed in the traditional clothing (Deel's) complete with headwear.  We felt a bit like Ma and Pa gathering the gaggle for dinner.  They are awesome humans and clean up pretty good. FHE again, was no disappointment.  They come in numbers each week, some traveling up to an hour or two depending on traffic  to be there, just to enjoy being together and sharing in the Spirit the Gospel brings. And of course, the one and only Unbold.  There are few kinder people. Dinner at Lkhagvadulam (LD) and Batsukh's home was awesome.  They are very gracious and prepared a wonderful meal.  We had a ton of fun visiting and getting to know them better.  Transfers again found us preparing breakfast for the group that just arrived from the US.  We welcomed 9 sisters and 2 elders, and they arrived on the coldest day thus far.  The overnight low was -29°C (-20°F)....

This week was filled with more cookies, except this time we were able to share the "making" experience with a few friends from our ward.  Gan-Erdene, Namuulan and Tsovoo and her friend spent an evening of food and fun with us.  They took part in every step along the way including a spoonful of the cookie dough.  The girls sure couldn't wait for them to cool for a first bite. We also shared a similar experience with Jargal and her daughter Ulemj.  Food brings people together and cooking, especially with sugar, is a universal language.   Consumption is a bonus.  You can’t make cookies without having a spoonful of cookie dough.  It is a tradition at the Leavitt house.  FHE was busy and full of the Spirit and fun.  They are very competitive and couldn't get enough of the game.  Think we might need another coat rack?  This is a great game of playing coat Jenga.  Tring to find your coat without knocking down the stack is the challeng...
