Week 22 Transfers

District P-Day found us meeting together for a quick photo.  It was a blast as we dressed in the traditional clothing (Deel's) complete with headwear.  We felt a bit like Ma and Pa gathering the gaggle for dinner.  They are awesome humans and clean up pretty good.

FHE again, was no disappointment.  They come in numbers each week, some traveling up to an hour or two depending on traffic  to be there, just to enjoy being together and sharing in the Spirit the Gospel brings.

And of course, the one and only Unbold.  There are few kinder people.

Dinner at Lkhagvadulam (LD) and Batsukh's home was awesome.  They are very gracious and prepared a wonderful meal.  We had a ton of fun visiting and getting to know them better.

Transfers again found us preparing breakfast for the group that just arrived from the US.  We welcomed 9 sisters and 2 elders, and they arrived on the coldest day thus far.  The overnight low was -29°C (-20°F).  If it looks like they are cold at the airport, it's because they were.  We also welcomed Elder Enkhbatar and Sister Enkjargal as a new senior couple.  They arrived Wednesday from Utah and are returning home here to serve for 18 months.  They were a huge help with breakfast and a wonderful addition to the mission.  We also welcomed 3 of our Mongolian Elders from the Thailand MTC.  They are the first group to go to Thailand.  Previously the missionaries from here had gone to the Philippines MTC.  This change allows them to have a newly employed teacher travel with them, going and coming.  It's a huge blessing.
We also had the misfortune, but blessing, of saying goodbye to 4 sisters and 1 elder, returning home to the US after faithfully serving.  It continues to be the hardest thing we have to do.  We get to know and love them in such a short time.  Our hope is that we have the opportunity to see some of them when we return home.

I (Carrie) attended the Sansar RS activity.  It was held at Uranchimeg’s home.  She is a wonderful hostess. We had a delicious lunch of Borscht beet soup, warm milk, famous horse meat Buuz, fruit, bread, pickles and pine nuts.  It was Sister Fifita's first day to meet these wonderful Sansar Sisters and they were so excited to serve her Buuz for the first time.  They were all so sweet to her.  They told her they would help her learn to speak Mongolian.  The conversation was great, and we find we have many of the same concerns as mothers and wives.  We all want our children to grow up with strong testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ, to stay on the covenant path and to enter into His Holy Temple.  It was an inspiring day!

Have you ever had a corn pizza?  You need to try one, it was very good.  We have broadened our taste buds and have found many things we enjoy and a few that are a one-time taste.  We have had many experiences that have changed our lives.  To put it into perspective, live simply, love unconditionally, give to others frequently and share the Joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ every day.
